Writify for Claude & ChatGPT

Keep chatting. Writify keeps the record.

Your AI is a great tutor, but it forgets you every chat and guesses your band. Connect Writify and it gets a memory of your writing, a calibrated examiner, and your vocabulary deck.

  2. 2Choose “Add custom connector”. Name it Writify and paste the server address above.
  3. 3Click Connect, sign in to Writify and press Allow.
  4. 4In a chat, switch Writify on from the tools menu. It also works in Claude's mobile app.

Add it once on the web or desktop app; it then works in Claude on your phone too.

ChatGPT

  1. 1Open ChatGPT on the web and go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced, and turn on Developer mode.
  2. 2Back in Apps & Connectors, choose Create. Name it Writify, paste the server address and pick OAuth.

  4. 4In a chat, add Writify from the + menu (under Developer mode).

Developer mode is needed until Writify is listed in the ChatGPT app directory.

What changes in your chat

One score you can trust

Your AI never guesses a band. It asks the Writify examiner, tested against examiner-marked essays — and shows you exactly why.

Every draft, remembered

Essays you share are saved to your Writify history. Rewrite one and you see the change: draft 1 at 6.0, draft 3 at 6.5.

Words that come back

When your AI suggests a better word, save it with a tap. It returns in your daily spaced-repetition review.

Study modes

Examiner mode, sentence upgrades, paraphrase drills, Task 1 overview coaching and vocabulary review — one click each.

What it looks like

Here's my Task 2 essay. What do you think?

Saved to your Writify history. The Writify examiner gives it Band 6.0 — Task Response 6, Coherence 5.5, Lexical 6, Grammar 6.5. Coherence is holding you back: your second paragraph has two ideas and no linking…

“Reduce” is weak in your conclusion — “mitigate” or “curb” fit better. Add them to your Writify deck?

Just mitigate.

Added. It's due for review tomorrow.

Good to know

  • You need a Writify account. Saving essays and words is free; grading uses your plan, exactly like on the website.
  • Task 1 is graded against the chart, so ask your AI for a Writify practice task, or upload your own chart on the website.
  • Your AI only sees what it asks Writify for, during your chats. Disconnect any time in Settings.
  • Menu names in Claude and ChatGPT change from time to time. If a step looks different, look for “Connectors” or “Apps”.
