The diagram higlights the process by which leather products are made. Overall, the process includes 12 steps which starts with the delivery of animal skins and finishes with waxing it.
Initially, the animal skins are delivered from farms then they are sorted according to size. Once sorted, the animal skins are then trimmed. After salt is added, the skins are cured for 30 days.
Following this, the animal skins are soaked in water and left for 12-24 hours. The hair of the skins is then removed using a knife. The next step is the pickling stage, during which salt and acid are added to the skins.
Having been pickled, the skins are then tanned with chemicals and rotated for 48 hours. After this, the animal skins are colored and softened using oil. Subsequently, the animal skins are dried using a fan, after which they are waxed, which is the last stage of producing leather.
