The maps provide key information about the changes that have taken place in Porth Harbour from its establishment in 2000 to the present day. Overall, it is clear from the maps that the harbour has undergone substantial redevelopment, with several features either relocated or transformed. In addition, the 2000 layout showed a symmetrical design, whereas the current layout stands out for a more functional and diversified layout.
According to what is shown, in 2000, the Port was centrally located between Main road and the beach. The Castle lay at the end of the harbour, on the opposite side from the Marina and Fishing boats. The Marina lay adjacent to the showers and toilets, opposite the Car park.
In terms of the present layout, The castle has been replaced by a Hotel. The fishing boats and Marina have exchanged places with each other. The Showers and toilets were constructed next to the Car park, opposite the Marina.
The Cafe and shops were constructed next to the Lifeboat.
